There's two for the price of one today...

Everyone Worth Knowing by Lauren Weisberger- I really liked this book. I thought it was a really great chick-lit book. Its basically about a woman who quits her job at a bank, starts working at a PR company, "dates" a Jude Law-esque playboy with some secrets, meets a nice guy, falls in love, cue the credits. Though it was predictable, I really liked the main characters, especially Will, the heroine's uncle, who was a flamboyant fairy godmother and great color throughout the book. I related to the characters, and thought it was damn good. A-.

Candy Girl by Diablo Cody- Yes, this book is by the same witty woman who wrote Juno and Jennifer's Body. This book was creative different, and tons of fun. However, keep it away from children, squeamish folks, and elderly people. Ms. Cody writes like she's sharing a secret with you, and she kept me constantly enthralled with her descriptions of her stripping days. Her customers are made fun of by her, usually with nicknames like Nigerian Man. She sheds some light on the dark world that is stripping, and she makes it seem like fun to run down to the local bar and dance with your clothes off. Its interesting, and though some descriptions were a little too much for me, I think it was pretty rad, and definitely worth the read. B+.
